Building on the success of their partnership in 2020, The Digital Hub will continue to support the Dublin Fringe Festival’s work of presenting performances at the intersection of art and technology.

As Official Digital Partner, The Digital Hub, is pleased to support five show:

Abundance by Beth Hayden and Matthew Bratko

How can LGBTQ+ folks preserve community and look after each other’s wellbeing when all their community spaces are shut? An ode to queer joy, resilience, community, and the power of a good party. This performance is made to be enjoyed by both in-person and online audiences.

I Feel You Apart From Me by Lark

This intimate storytelling experience from four young Irish expats is about the tender power of a voice note sent across the sea, and how we find ways to communicate when we can’t hold hands, but we can still whisper into each other’s ears. Experienced through WhatsApp voice notes and sent directly to your mobile phone, wherever you may be.

Let’s Get Fun-erable! by Sarah Devereux

An online visual art workshop for adults, designed to destigmatise mental health issues through comedy and shared creativity. Art materials are posted to participants in advance and a playschool level of skills are required, alongside an openness to connect and creatively explore self-reflection, emotions and googly eyes.

Rescue Annie by Lauren Shannon Jones & Eoghan Carrick

Using deep fake technology designed by Algorithm, this live theatre performance blends creativity and cutting-edge technology to explore the human consequences of an image stolen without the subject’s consent.

Heave by Seon Simpson & Orla Graham

This film/theatre hybrid explores the disintegration of the mental health of a young woman due to long distance love during lockdown. This story is about recovery, falling in love with Belfast and most importantly, falling in love with yourself again.
