Another Liber8 Music Project class graduate with flying colours

Twenty young people from Dublin 8 who completed the most recent run of The Liber8 Music Project have graduated.

To mark the occasion, these latest graduates displayed their new-found talents at a live showcase event held in BIMM Dublin.

In addition to playing music produced during the programme, which demonstrates their creativity and newly acquired digital skills, the young participants formed distinct bands to perform two well-known hits by Adele and George Ezra.

During the free to attend programme, run outside of school for 10-weeks, the young people completed three modules:

  1. ‘Music Styles’ – Participants will go on a journey through lots of styles of music, what they sound like and what they mean.
  2. ‘Introduction to Performance Techniques’ – Participants will learn to use the guitarbassdrums or vocals; and will perform live at the end of the project.
  3. ‘An Introduction to Recording and Sound Design’ – Participants will explore the use of technology to make the music they love.
