The Liber8 Music Project showcase and graduation – 15/05/19

The participants on The Liber8 Music Project will celebrate their completion of the 10-week programme with a showcase gig and graduation ceremony, to be held at BIMM Institute Dublin on Wednesday, 15th May.

The Liber8 Music Project is an afterschool programme for 14-to-16-year olds living in Dublin 8 and its surroundings. The Digital Hub and BIMM Institute Dublin established this programme in September 2017.

Over the course of ten weeks, young people, who have limited exposure to music and digital media, immersed themselves in the creative programme which included modules on ‘Music Styles’, ‘Introduction to Performance Techniques’, and ‘Introduction to Recording and Sound Design’. For many the showcase gig will be their first time to perform live on-stage in front of family and friends.

You can listen to some of the tracks recorded by the group via Soundcloud.

Date: Wednesday, 15th of May 2019.

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Venue: BIMM Dublin, 62 – 64 Francis Street, Dublin 8. (Directions)

Please note this event is invite-only. If you are interested in attending, please email info@thedigitalhub.com.
