Dublin Learning City: There’s No Place Like Home Screening + Q&A

Dublin Learning Festival takes place between Monday, 8th April and Friday, 12th April as part of PATH's initiative to make 'Dublin a Learning City'.

The short documentary, ‘No Place Like Home’ will be screened on Tuesday, April 9th, followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Mia Mullarkey.

‘No Place Like Home’ was made by a group of young filmmakers who just completed a six month out-of-school programme called Screen8, at The Digital Hub under the tuition of award winning filmmaker Mia Mullarkey.

‘No Place Like Home’ examines why there’s a homeless crisis in Ireland. It includes moving testimonies from people who are homeless, the anger of a nation through meetings and rallies, and an insight into how four thousand children are homeless in the world’s 14th richest country. This Screen8 programme for 14-to-16-year olds living in Dublin 8 and its surroundings was developed and funded by The Digital Hub and Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival.
