Future Creators cadets have fun with Makey Makey

The programme, which has been underway since last November, is similar to the well-established Future Creators programme, but it is tailored to the abilities, interests and needs of a younger cohort of participants.
The programme is delivered after-school at The Digital Hub once a week in a two-hour lesson.
The 10-to-12 year old Future Creators Cadets are currently using MaKey MaKey to invent and build their own musical instruments, using objects, space or even their own bodies. They are also learning to record and manipulate the soundsthey create using sound editing software.
For the remainder of the programme, which will run until May, the participants will work, in collaborative groups, on projects that bring together electronics, design, fashion, music, film, art, code, and technology.
The Future Creators Cadets was established by The Digital Hub in 2015 and is delivered with the National College of Art and Design and H2 Learning.
