The Digital Hub selects CBRE for facilities management services contract

The Digital Hub, Ireland’s largest and most established cluster of technology, digital media and internet companies, has selected real estate property specialists CBRE to provide outsourced integrated facility management services throughout its extensive campus site. 

Following a competitive public tendering process (across the EU), the contract was awarded to CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a specialist division within the CBRE Group, which supports occupier clients of all sizes, through facilities management, project management, advisory and transaction services.


The appointment of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) as the single outsourced facilities management provider to The Digital Hub will see it provide a broad range of integrated facilities management services across the entire enterprise campus.  The Digital Hub campus currently has over 70,000 sq.ft. of lettable office space located across nine buildings and is home to 80 established businesses employing over 750 people.


Among the categories of services that CBRE GWS will provide include: ongoing property maintenance services; security services including monitoring CCTV, static guard and access control; Cleaning Services; Health & Safety Management Services; a Help Desk Service; Waste Management Services and Advisory Services that contribute to greater efficiencies and savings in relation to the management of the buildings.

The CBRE FM Cloud will be the key management tool used to provide The Digital Hub with a cohesive and responsive service. The aim of this IT solution is to implement an automated and sophisticated infrastructure supporting the CBRE team and allowing CBRE to provide The Digital Hub and their clients with real time and comprehensive management information.

It is expected that the provision of this outsourced facilities management services will operate for an initial two-year period with options to extend further up to a maximum duration of seven years.

The Agency was established by the Irish Government under the Department of Communications, Climate Change and Environment and plays a key part in supporting the implementation of the National Digital Strategy.

The Liber8 Music Project is run with BIMM Institute Dublin to give young people who may have limited exposure to music and digital media, an opportunity to immerse themselves in a creative programme, whilst also developing skills to support their future careers.
