Outlandish Theatre Platform Call for Creative Collaborator

Outlandish Theatre Platform is looking for a Dublin based creative collaborator who has first-hand personal or familial experience of migration, be that through regular, irregular or international protection channels, for D-Project, a development project supported by the Arts Council and The Digital Hub in Dublin 8.

“Who’s your kin? What does it mean to be human in 2019? How has the pattern of migration changed over the last 100 years and what does that mean for our human connections? When do heritage and culture become a disposable luxury?”

D-Project is a trans-Atlantic experiment. It aims to create a digital triptych with three international collaborators for a live audience. Do you have a keen interest in creatively exploring ideas of kinship and survival through conversation, performance making and performing?

As a collaborator you will commit to one initial Skype conversation, followed by four workshops in June/July 2020 (for these workshops a honorarium will be offered for participation). If you’re interested in joining our creative team for D-Project, please send us a maximum 300 words document outlining reasons why you would like to share your experience and perspective of migration through theatre. Although no previous performance making or performance skills are required, let us know if you have any experience.

Please send your application to info@outlandishtheatre.com before the 12th of December 2019. We will respond to all applications by the 20th of December 2019. Kindly funded by the Arts Council Ireland and The Digital Hub, Dublin with outreach assistance from Irish Arts Center.
