MEG Support Tools Secures Palestinian Investment For International Expansion
Digital Hub based medical technology business MEG Support Tools has just closed a €535,000 seed funding round, led by Enterprise Ireland following increased interest in its healthcare solution during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company’s recent investment was led Enterprise Ireland, with investment also secured by and APIC, the Arab Palestinian Investment Company – one of the largest employers in Palestine, with operations around the Middle East. This is a key market where MEG impressed at the Arab Health conference, with Dubai-based Neuro Spinal Hospital signing up as their first client in the region earlier this year.
Founded by CEO Kerrill Thornhill in 2016, MEG provides simple and effective digital tools to reduce the burden on frontline healthcare workers, freeing up valuable resources in stretched healthcare systems. MEG’s mission is to drive cultural change by empowering staff to be involved in quality and patient safety processes. This is resonating with healthcare organisations, particularly in the current environment where responding to the pandemic has stretched frontline workers.
Kerrill Thornhill, CEO of MEG, said: “Investment from APIC shows that MEG’s quality management system is essential for healthcare the world over. We want to take healthcare technology out of the ’90s; the pandemic has put frontline workers under enormous pressure, we’re giving them the tools they deserve.”
