Liberties Festival to take over the Liberties with a host of incredible events

The 47th annual Liberties Festival takes over the heart of Dublin from 17-22 July. Creating memorable experiences is central to the Liberties Festival and over 30 events in 20 venues offer something for all ages, including free family-friendly events.

From stables to churches, and parks to pubs, this year festival-goers can meet the horses of the Liberties, learn the art of Burlesque, be dazzled at aerial acrobatics, and sing on the streets while enjoying Ireland’s best artists and performers in a programme that effortlessly combines the traditional with the cutting-edge in reflection of the vibrant Liberties area itself.

Kicking off a week of dazzling entertainment is the Big Launch, a free, open-air concert including mobile phone street photography exhibition, Liberties Snapped, produced by participants of festival workshops. This event also features a host of musicians and includes refreshments, all in the shelter of the iconic St. Patrick’s Tower at The Digital Hub, Thomas Street on Monday, 17th July.

Fiach Mac Conghail, CEO at The Digital Hub comments: “The Digital Hub is delighted to be welcoming the Liberties Festival Big Launch. In showcasing this year’s fantastic Festival programme, we, at The Digital Hub are celebrating and acknowledging what is great about the Liberties – creativity and community.”
