Paul O’Kane Biography
Paul O’Kane has more than 30 years’ experience in the media sector, divided equally between corporate communications and journalism. His previous roles include Chief Communications Officer (CCO) at daa – the company that owns and operates Dublin and Cork airports, Business Editor and Deputy Business Editor with The Sunday Tribune and Business Reporter with The Irish Times. Paul has extensive experience across all facets of corporate communications, including crisis management, media relations, financial communications, reputation management, social media and public affairs. He was the lead corporate spokesperson for daa for more than a decade and dealt with a large number of crisis events, industrial relations issues and significant reputational issues. Paul is an expert in corporate social media, having created and curated Dublin Airport’s multi award-winning Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. The Dublin Airport Twitter account was named the world’s best airport feed in the Moodie Awards four times during a six-year period.
