Drone programme calls for applications from young people in Dublin 8
Millennia Aviation in partnership with The Digital Hub are calling for participants for the Millennia Aviator Program (MAP) Junior.
Millennia Aviator Program (MAP) Junior is a STEM education program designed for secondary school students, aimed to immerse them into the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) technology, also known as drones, through a fun and creative hands-on class environment.
Programme Overview
Each programme is delivered over one day with a half-day graduation the following day. Two certified Drone Academy trainers introduce the students to the world of vertical mobility: rules, flying on a simulator, and with real drones as well as first steps in coding. A combination of theory, hands-on practice, code building, gaming, and quizzing will be applied. Students will receive a certificate of attendance after completion

- Building and flying a drone safely
- Learning how to access the relevant information for conducting a safe flight
- Exploring big ideas about the global and future vision of the UAV technology
- Developing competencies in social innovation, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration
When and Where:
The free to attend programme will be take place at The Digital Hub campus in Dublin 8 on Saturday, 10th September from 9 am to 5 pm.
Eligibility & Application
