patientMpower are currently recruiting a Lead Software Test Engineer at their Digital Hub based headquarters.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the role

  • Lead the creation & execution of software test plans across patientMpower applications.
  • Working in an Agile environment with regular software releases.
  • Defining the acceptance criteria for each User Story and creating test case relevant scenarios that provide test coverage for that User Story (Validation of the acceptance criteria).
  • Performing full functionality testing of the new features being added during a sprint as well as regression testing for previously implemented functionality.
  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Working closely with developers to ensure all defects are raised and are resolved within project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine root cause.
  • Drive evaluation of new test automation techniques and implementing as much test automation as possible.
  • Ensure Test Progress reports are daily updated and all Test tasks are reviewed and closed at the end of the Sprint.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years’ experience in mobile and web software testing
  • ISTQB or other software testing certifications
  • Experience with mobile application testing, working with XCode and Android Studio
  • Experience developing software test plans and automating components of functional tests where possible
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Must be detail orientated

 

Desirable

  • Experience working in a medical device environment, with the ability to apply the risk of each new feature where working with software as a medical device

 

Required experience

  • Mobile: 2 years
  • Software testing: 2 years
