Liberties Festival Launch at The Digital Hub – 17/7
The Liberties Festival will take place over five days, from Wednesday, July 17th to Saturday, July 21st, and consist of different activities, including visual arts, film, dance, music, comedy and literature. The programme is packed with favourites such as the Blue Rinse Ball, Opera in the Open, Garda vs Traders Football as well as plenty of fun family events throughout the week.
Kicking off a week of dazzling entertainment is the Festival Launch – a free, ticketed, open-air event, in front the iconic St. Patrick’s Tower at The Digital Hub, Thomas Street on Wednesday, July 17th. Expect performances, speeches and nibbles courtesy of Coke Lane Pizza, refreshments, and a packed show from Stomptown Brass. The Liberties Festival first started in 1970, making it one of Ireland’s oldest festivals. This summer the event marks its 49th year. The festivities will take part in a period of five days, from July 17th to 21st, and consist of different activities, including visual arts, film, dance, music, comedy and literature.
