iOS Application Developer

Mobile Travel Technologies Limited (MTT) is looking for a talented, experienced iOS Application Developer to join our team to develop innovative mobile services software. You will have the opportunity to work with leading edge technologies, have a direct impact on our company and enjoy increasing responsibility, promotion and financial rewards based on your efforts and achievements. All this within a professional and well-structured company, but without the bureaucracy of many larger organisations.
Some of MTT’s iPhone applications include easyJet – leading European low cost carrier, AirAsia - the largest low cost carrier in Asia, S7 Airlines – Russia’s largest domestic carrier.
You will get the opportunity to:
- Design, develop, modify and implement mobile applications using iOS.
- Formulate innovative technical solutions to business problems
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, partners and co-workers to specify optimal solutions
- Propose enhancements to the existing platform.
Skills:
Experience of some or all of the following skills is highly desirable:
- iOS native development experience, in particular CoreGraphics, storage (CoreData), networking services, security aspects, unit testing
- Web UI development (WebKit browser, HTML5, CSS3)
- Experience of working within an Agile development processes
- Familiarity with other mobile platform application e.g. BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone etc.(not essential)
- Basic java development experience (not essential)
Potential candidates must:
- Have the ability and interest to work on the server side code
- Be able to demonstrate creative flair and design ability coupled with the ability to implement usable, elegant, sharp compelling user interfaces
- Have developed and implemented at least one iPhone or iPad application
- Have a passion for technology and demonstrate willingness to learn and share new skills
- Display high standards, good attention to detail and a methodological work process
- Have an ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
Academic/Educational Qualifications:
2.1 (or higher) BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent required, achieved in a top-tier university.
Salary/Contract Rate
This role can be offered on a permanent or contract basis. Salary or Contract Rate will be negotiable dependant on the candidate’s experience.
Location
This role is based at our ultra-modern headquarters offices in The Digital Hub, Dublin 8, located 15 minutes walk from the city centre and minutes from LUAS and Heuston Stations.

• To work on a leading edge mobile travel platform to develop the next generation of Mobile Web and Downloadable On-handset solutions
• Formulate innovative technical solutions to business problems
• Work closely with clients, suppliers, partners and co-workers to specify optimal solutions
• Propose enhancements to the existing platform and have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies through R&D initiatives from time to time.
Skills:
Experience of some or all of the following skills is highly desirable:
• Application stack – JEE, Spring, MySQL and other associated technologies
• iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry development
• Web UI technologies
• Good understanding of usability principles, particularly as applied to mobile devices
• Discipline of working within a unit-test environment
• Agile development processes.
Potential candidates must:
• Have at least 2 years (post-graduation) experience working in a related technology environment
• Be a quick and enthusiastic learner and have the ability to work in a very fast paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
• Display high standards, good attention to detail and a methodological work process
• Have an ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
Academic/Educational Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent preferred achieved in a top-tier university. Excellent verbal and written English is an essential requirement for this role.
