Our exhibit series has been running since 2003. The purpose is to showcase cutting edge digital media creativity and technology and to inspire new ideas for research, art and business. Exhibits covering computer gaming, wireless, digital animation and entertainment, location and broadcast technologies, and a vast array of digital art have been shown.
In 2007, The Digital Hub called for submissions for ‘Best in Show’, an exhibition to showcase work from the best digital media graduates in Ireland, the first exhibition of it’s kind. The response was phenomenal and 10 artists were chosen to showcase their work. In 2008, The Digital Hub is delighted to continue on the success of the pilot project and we are now inviting submissions for ‘Best in Show 2008’.
In December Donal Dineen with the Digital Hub presented A Small Hours Picture Show, a two hour show where Donal introduced his new visual work accompanied by some invited musicians; Ronan O’ Snodaigh, 3Epkano, Somadrone, Maeve Higgins and Jesse Evans.
In 2008 we look forward to expanding our Projected Weekends series to different sites on The Digital Hub campus, we will also be hosting number 11 in our exhibit series, hosting ‘Best in Show in November 2008, and further developing our already established visitor centre, CTRL<space>.
We are always open to new collaborations and ideas, so if you have an interest in exhibiting your creative work, research concept, prototype of a product or service contact us: exhibit@thedigitalhub.com
