
'Hub News' is The Digital Hub's newsletter, which is circulated every two months, and aims to keep subscribers up-to-date with the latest news from The Digital Hub as well as industry news, event notices, comment and food for thought.
In the June / July issue of Hub News, read about the smart solutions from two innovative companies located in The Digital Hub that are being used in the US and the UK. The Avego Shared Transport programme is an award-winning smart solution to address America’s transportation challenges, while Kidspotter’s Never Lost Wristwatch – currently being deployed in UK Theme Parks and Shopping Centres – addresses a wholly different challenge: location-based child monitoring for parents and operators of large venues / public spaces.
In other news, The Digital Hub was delighted with the response to the recent DARE2BDRINKAWARE film competition, which was organised by The Digital Hub and sponsored by drinkaware.ie. The Best in Show 2010 competition, also organised by The Digital Hub, is drawing to a close, as judging is currently underway by a panel of industry leaders and high-profile companies. The announcement of the winners, following an online public vote, is due at the end of the month.
