There is a perception that gamers are somehow divorced form social encounters by virtue of the fact that they spend their free time immersed in virtual worlds. Although in the past there may have been some creditability to this view, the emergence of networked games has created a whole new on-line society built up of players and their friends who interact with each other in just the same way as people interact in a physical city, town or street. If you would like to join the panel mentioned below in a discussion on this topic please request a free ticket by emailing exhibit@thedigitalhub with “Talk Digital” as the subject heading.
